That's a great story! *still laughing*

But for this weekend I'll use the standard rotation I have for the last two. Take a 4-6 hour nap Thursday evening until half an hour before the event is set to open.. Then play for the next 18 hours. Take another 4 hour nap... Play for the next 18.... 4... 18...etc. That allows for ~52 hours of game time after you factor in time for eating and some sort of basic hygene.
I am so glad you pointed out the last bit. Sometimes I have to wonder if people remember that old "change your socks" thing.

Oh, and as for sleep schedules, I figure if I don't fall asleep at the keyboard at least half a dozen times, I'm really not that tired.

I have that solved, I just don't wear socks at home.

I plan to play for 4-6 hours when it starts, then get a few hours sleep, then play until I get tired and so on. I'll probably do most of my sleeping at night since thats when my Guildmates are less active, except the Aussie ones. Maybe I should stay up and play with them too.

I had my gf set the alarm clock for 4:00am this morning. She then jammed her feet into my back and *pushed* me out of bed. *Crawled* (literally) into the shower… ice cold… I just took another ice cold shower about and hour ago… I think I will fall down at about 6:00pm, wake up at 2:00am (just in case they open it up a bit early). Play for a day and a half (up36), sleep 12, play for a day (up24). Then take two days to recover…

If you can believe it last BWE (my 1st) my computer’s power supply pissed off three hour before the BWE. GAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! So I lost 12 hours waiting for the computer stores to open and going to get a new one. I need to make up for lost time.

I once had the unpleasant task of traveling city to city by bus. It took 24 solid hours. While on the bus, I met a guy who had come from the west coast of Canada and was going all the way to the east coast. He had been on the bus for A WEEK straight. I asked him, “How the heck can you sleep in a bus for a week?” With dreay eye, he turned to look at me and casually replied, “Sleep?... What’s that something you eat?”

BA, you forget that I play on Aussie time, and I'm in the Pacific time zone. As for sleep, I've managed to put in 7 hours ea on Mon., Tues., and Wed. Now I'm all set for getting only 6 - 9 hrs between Thurs., Fri., and Sat., I'll start catching up again Monday morning after mid-nite.

have a friend that fiend for DII to the point that he would fall asleep while playing. we always knew when he was asleep because upstairs we'd hear "not here..... not in town.........not here......not in town" oooover and ooover. i actually watched him use potions in his sleep too. must have been a hell of a fight in his sleep.

-Obtain Preorder box and make sure code is inside, lick and touch code if nessecary to determine if it's real or not

-Barricade my door shut, sit infront of computer and stare at the Countdown Clock. When it goes off, check, realize it isn't 100% accurate, cry, go do something else for a few hours.

-Log on, pass out, wake up, log on again and manage to stay logged on while boggling at the sheer awesomeness.

The rest should be a sugar crazed blend of hallicinations and game playing until monday, whereupon I sleep for a few days.

Everything went according to plan. Finished up with a client at 4:30, came home and let out the dog, hit the sack.

8:30, phone rings, client confirmng an appointment for 10AM tomorrow (I hate when that happens). Now I can't get back to sleep. Will try again shortly, but I needed the sleep tonight.

Sucks for me.

I shoot for 3.5 hours of sleep druing BWEs. Starting at midnight I play till 2-3 and then start the short sleep. Wakeup, wash, and get breakfast and start again. Always take an hour break for family & dinner, and I take another hour for exercise (swimming for me) because sitting still in a chair for that long is just terrible.

Its not a lot but I learned in the military that if I get at least 3.5 hours I can function well for a few weeks before my system crashes. Doing it over a 3 day stretch isnt great for you, but you can do it and still easily get back on an appropriate sleep schedule without too much harm being done.
